In response to a plea from the Commissioner for more interesting subject matter on my blog I have posted this picture of "Merry Christmas" past. The artist is unknown. It could be that I myself drew the basic tree and possibly the candy cane. The decorations look to have been added by Jonica, as well as the "Merry Christmas." Anyway, "Blessed Winter Solstice" to everyone. The solstice day dawned today with a mild winter storm, a bit of snow and ice just letting us know that we are at that time of year when we have to create our own joy as we prepare for the dark days to come.
